Notice of Mandatory PIN Entry for IC Chip Credit Cards
Effective from April 1, 2025
Thank you for your continued support.
Starting April 1, 2025, to prevent unauthorized use, entering a 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) will be mandatory when using IC chip credit cards. Signature-based authentication will be discontinued.
This change follows the "Credit Card Security Guidelines" set by the Japan Credit Association, which eliminate the PIN bypass function. It will be implemented nationwide for all businesses, not just our restaurant.
If you do not know your PIN, please check with your card issuer's website or the contact number on the back of your card in advance.
Our restaurant supports contactless payments that do not require PIN entry. However, compatibility may vary depending on the card issuer and the country of issuance. (Transaction limits vary by issuer, typically around 10,000 to 15,000 yen.)
